This function is a control system that suppresses acceleration above a vehicle speed (speed limit) pre-set by the driver. Acting as a guide, it controls engine output so that the vehicle speed does not exceed that of the pre-set speed limit while the driver is pushing on the accelerator pedal. The pre-set speed is shown on the combimeter display and will begin flashing when the vehicle reaches this speed. Full acceleration will cancel the system.

Toyota's manual transmissions are designed for precise, smooth gear changes. Efficiency can easily be maximised yet power is always at hand for overtaking. The result is an engaging and dynamic driving experience.
x-shift delivers manual transmission with the ease of an automatic. This transmission without a clutch pedal can be operated as an automatic gearbox, maximising fuel economy
The 1.0 litre VVT-i petrol engine is ultra-lightweight and compact. Three cylinders deliver agility and efficiency with low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

VSC automatically activates each individual brake as needed and controls engine output to help maintain stability and prevent skidding when turning sharply or cornering on slippery road surfaces.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
In emergency braking situations, EBS flashes the vehicle’s brake lights repeatedly to alert following traffic.
HAC helps to ensure a smooth start on steep inclines by applying the brakes for up to 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. This prevents the vehicle from rolling back. It is activated by pushing the brake pedal harder after stopping as long as the transmission shift lever is in any forward gear position.
The system features a sensor valve within each wheel to constantly monitor tyre air pressure. These sensors link with a dashboard indicator that illuminates to warn you if the pressure falls below the recommended level. By doing so, the system contributes to safer driving, better tyre wear and greater fuel efficiency.
Using a camera to detect the lane markings in the road ahead, Toyota Safety Sense’s Lane Departure Alert will alert the driver (50-200 km/h) with audible and visual warnings if the vehicle starts to deviate from its lane without the turn indicator being applied – the driver can then take corrective action.
Toyota Safety Sense’s Pre-Collision System uses a camera and laser to detect other vehicles in the road ahead. When the possibility of forward collision is detected (15-140km/h) the driver is alerted with audio and visual warnings and brake assistance is activated (30-80km/h). If the driver fails to brake in time the Autonomous Emergency Braking system activates (10-80km/h) to prevent or mitigate the collision.
